Although it is obvious that this breast star order badge has been worn as a decoration by the person who received it, it still remains in perfect condition. ALL of the Gold plating / gilt remains almost intact. Sterling silver made and great enamel work. This is the scarce Russian Soviet USSR Communist order of Alexander Nevsky awarded during WWII to commanders and highest members of Army and Military Staff for exceptional Service and in risk of their lifes. Only about 45000 or a very similar figure number of orders have been awarded. This one is 27144. This order is one of the highest Russian awards and decorations and is a true WWII combat piece awarded during fights against NAZI Germany on all fronts. It is almost as equal to the 2nd Class of the Nakhimov order. Scarce collector piece. Catalogued at Vernon's Collector Guide at $550, but sometimes pieces go for far above that sum. ABSOLUTELY GENUINE and AUTHENTIC guaranteed piece.
